Manufactured from durable, life-like silicone, this wound supports realistic trauma, emergency, and clinical simulation scenarios.
The detailed anatomical structure and exposed bone presentation simulate severe trauma commonly seen in high-impact injuries such as motor vehicle accidents, crush injuries, and blast-related trauma. Integrated bleeding capability allows for dynamic simulation, while tapered edges enable seamless blending onto a manikin or live role player for enhanced realism.
Compound Rib Fracture for Trauma & Emergency Simulation Training
This silicone wound is ideal for advanced trauma training, emergency response scenarios, military simulation, and prehospital education. The addition of controlled bleeding allows learners to practise haemorrhage control, wound assessment, and prioritisation in high-stress environments.
To further enhance realism, the wound can be complemented with moulage materials such as Fresh Scab and Stage Blood. Clothing can be cut, burned, or manipulated to reflect mechanism of injury and improve scenario immersion.
For optimal bleeding simulation, the tube can be discreetly positioned and connected to the included syringe, allowing controlled activation during training scenarios.
