The Abrasion Small Graze Silicone Wound by TraumaSim is a high-fidelity, self-adhesive training aid designed to replicate a medically accurate small graze or abrasion for trauma, clinical, first aid, emergency response, and casualty simulation training.
Manufactured from durable, life-like silicone, this wound supports realistic wound assessment, dressing practice, bleeding recognition, patient management, and scenario-based education. The smaller graze presentation allows learners to practise assessment and management of minor friction injuries, making it suitable for first aid, workplace, school, sport, and community training scenarios. Tapered edges assist with seamless blending onto a manikin or live role player, maintaining anatomical realism throughout simulation exercises.
Small Graze Simulation for First Aid and Trauma Training
This silicone wound is ideal for scenarios involving falls, road rash, sporting injuries, workplace incidents, playground accidents, minor trauma, first aid education, and clinical wound assessment. Learners can practise wound identification, cleaning, dressing application, bleeding recognition, reassurance, and patient communication in a safe and repeatable environment.
For additional abrasion and graze presentations, trainers may also consider the Abrasion Large Graze and Abrasion Deep, allowing educators to build scenarios with varying wound size, depth, severity, and mechanism of injury.
This wound is also suitable for use alongside the Trainer’s Pack – Provide First Aid, supporting realistic first aid scenario delivery, learner assessment, and practical wound care training.
To further enhance realism, the wound can be complemented with moulage materials such as Fresh Scab, Stage Blood, and professional makeup products. Clothing may be torn, dirtied, cut, or manipulated to reflect the mechanism of injury and increase immersion.
