TraumaSim has worked closely with active military personnel to ensure the injury presentation aligns with contemporary treatment priorities and tactical medical doctrine.
The unit simulates a traumatic blast injury with extensive soft tissue disruption and a fractured femur component, increasing realism and decision-making complexity. Active bleeding is controlled via a 3-litre hand pressure pump, allowing instructors to regulate flow and create variable training intensity. TraumaSim recommends diluting Ben Nye Stage Blood at a ratio of 1 part blood to 3 parts water to simulate realistic bleeding.
